With financing from the World Bank, Nigeria’s COVID-19 Action Recovery and Stimulus (NG CARES) is a two-year emergency intervention.
Expanding access to services for poor and vulnerable households and businesses to support their livelihoods and ensure food security is the program development objective, which is based on the program for results.
Three organizations will implement the Plateau COVID – 19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus – PL CARES program in Plateau State.
These are the Plateau State Medium Enterprises Development Agency, Result Area Three of FADAMA, and Result Area One of the Plateau State Community and Social Development Agency.
Plateau State Community and Social Development Agency (PLCSDA) is implementing Result Area One, which focuses on State Social Safety Net and Basic Services with four Disbursement Linked Indicators.
These include basic services, livelihood, labor-intensive public workfare, and state social transfers.
Additionally, the Disbursement Linked Indicators Managers provided training on the various implementation methodologies to the Agency Staff in order to ensure the successful execution of this Programme for Results.
The Chairmen of the 17 Local Government Councils in Plateau State, as well as the Board of the Community and Social Development Agency, were also updated on their responsibilities throughout the execution of PL CARES.
Zonal Stakeholders Engagement, which included important stakeholders, concluded the sensitization effort.

With the completion of these engagements, the Community and Social Development Agency in Plateau State is prepared to begin implementation, according to General Manager Mrs. Felicity Gurumyen.
