DILLA, Pankshin LGA, Plateau State — October 2, 2026: Chief Hon. David Bitrus Barji Kasuwa, APC Senatorial Candidate for Plateau Central in the 2027 General Elections, has reaffirmed his commitment to education, community development and the welfare of his people.
The commitment was demonstrated in Dilla, Pankshin Local Government Area, where Barji donated new school uniforms to pupils of the community school and settled their outstanding Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) levies.
The intervention, according to the organisers, brought relief and excitement to pupils, parents and teachers in the community.
Barji, who was not physically present, was represented at the event by Prince G. M. Bedir, Esq., who was accompanied by Comrade Dyepshak Lean of the Face of Hope Team; Ms. Endurance Nfwan, Convener of Plateau Central Ladies for Barji; Simputda Emmanuel, Deputy Speaker, Youth Assembly of Nigeria, Plateau State Chapter and member of the Face of Hope Team; Comr. F. M. Luka, member of the Face of Hope Team; and Comr. Kamshinen Andrew, Director of Socials/Sports, Ngas Students National Body and a son of Dilla.
Speaking during the visit, Barji’s representative said the outreach was in fulfilment of a promise made by the APC candidate months earlier when he returned to Dilla to seek the prayers, blessings and support of his parents and members of the community ahead of the party’s primary election.
He said Barji’s interest in education and community welfare predated his current political activities, stressing that supporting education and giving back to his community had remained part of his life.
According to him, Barji’s political engagement would not diminish his relationship with his people or his commitment to the development of the community.
He also conveyed Barji’s assurance that he would return to Dilla to formally appreciate the community for its prayers and support ahead of the primary election.
The representative further said Barji had solicited continued prayers ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Village Head, PTA Chairman, Headmistress, teachers, representatives of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Pankshin Branch, community leaders and other well-wishers were present to receive the delegation.
In their separate remarks, community representatives thanked Barji for remembering his roots and demonstrating concern for the education and welfare of the younger generation.
They also prayed for him, his family and his political aspiration, while expressing their support for his bid to represent Plateau Central in the Senate.
The visit ended with prayers for Chief Hon. David Bitrus Barji Kasuwa, his family and his political journey.
The Barji Media Center said the intervention reflects what it described as the candidate’s commitment to education, community development and giving hope to the next generation.
