His Majesty the Ngolong Ngas, Nde Jika Golit, has praised Bishop Benjamin Kwashi Emeritus for his service to God and humanity. He made the remarks during a courtesy visit by Bishop Benjamin Argak Kwashi who led his American Missionary partners led to his Palace recently.
Nde Golit described Bishop Kwashi as an asset to the Ngas Nation and a bridge builder whose services have linked Plateau State with other Nations, attracting development for the entire country.
The Ngolong Ngas commended the missionaries for the trust they bestowed on Bishop Kwashi, fostering a good relationship that brought them to Nigeria and specifically to pay him a visit
He noted this gesture strengthen the bond of friendship and encourage Bishop Kwashi to continue his good work
The paramount ruler emphasized that the visit also signifies their respect for other cultures and Traditions and appealed to the Missionaries’ to provide more services that would enhance Missionary work and improve the people’s livelihood.
On his part, Bishop Emeritus, Benjamin Argak Kwashi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Ngolong Ngas for the warm welcome, explaining that the visit was to introduce his Missionary partners from the United States of America to Nigeria and to pay homage which signified respect for the Ngolong Ngas and the entire Ngas Nation.
Bishop Kwashi highlighted the Missionaries’ kindness, citing how they covered his medical bills and accommodation during his prolonged illness and treatment abroad.
He noted that their visit to Ngas land strengthens the bond between him and the Ngas Nation, and he believes they will continue to support the people in areas of need.
Leader of the Americans team, Right Reverend Quigg Lawrence thanked the Ngolong Ngas for the warm reception and assured him of their commitment to maintaining the relationship established by Bishop Benjamin Argak Kwashi.
They praised the Ngas people’s hospitality and expressed their desire to deepen their involvement in Missionary and other programs in the area.
The Ngas Traditional Council presented the visiting Bishops with Traditional Ngas attire, a gesture that symbolized the strengthening of ties between the Missionaries’ and the Ngas people.
The visit concluded with a tour of the new Ngolong Ngas Palace under construction, where the Bishops appreciated Government efforts on the project and offered prayers for its successful completion as well as praying for the prosperity and peace of the Ngas Nation and the Country at large.
