The Plateau State Government has taken another significant step towards strengthening collaboration with development partners through a One-Day Coordination Meeting with International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) operating across the state.

The meeting, organized by the Office of the Special Adviser and Coordinator of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Hon. Helen Philemon Haggai, followed the successful Meet and Greet Session earlier held with development partners.

The engagement was designed to deepen collaboration among stakeholders, review key issues arising from previous discussions, share updates on ongoing and planned interventions, and explore practical mechanisms for improving coordination and collective impact across Plateau State.

A major highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the Coordination Dashboard and the Kobo Registration Platform. The digital tools are expected to enhance information management, improve reporting systems, facilitate data-driven decision-making, and strengthen coordination among organizations implementing various humanitarian and development programmes within the state.

Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Helen Philemon Haggai emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration among development partners, noting that effective coordination remains critical to maximizing resources, avoiding duplication of efforts, and ensuring that interventions reach the communities that need them most.

The gathering also provided an opportunity for participating organizations to share updates on their ongoing projects and future plans while identifying areas for synergy and partnership. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in addressing humanitarian challenges, supporting vulnerable populations, and advancing sustainable development initiatives throughout Plateau State.

Participants commended the Plateau State Government for creating a platform that promotes transparency, inclusiveness, and effective engagement between government institutions and development partners.

At the end of the meeting, all parties reaffirmed their commitment to working together as partners in the development of Plateau State. They agreed to strengthen information sharing, enhance coordination mechanisms, and align their interventions with the state’s broader development priorities.

The outcome of the meeting underscores the Plateau State Government’s commitment to building strong partnerships with local and international stakeholders in order to drive sustainable development, improve service delivery, and enhance the well-being of citizens across the state.

With renewed commitment from all stakeholders, the coordination meeting is expected to serve as a catalyst for more impactful interventions and stronger collaboration in Plateau State’s development journey.
