The Kanam Advocate Youths for Barji have organised a grassroots engagement between women in Unguwan Goje and the Barji Campaign Council as part of efforts to strengthen mobilisation, unity and grassroots participation within the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The engagement provided an opportunity for the campaign council to interact directly with women in the community, listen to their perspectives and exchange ideas on strengthening the relationship between grassroots supporters and the wider campaign structure of the APC Senatorial Candidate for Plateau Central, Chief Hon. David Bitrus Barji.
Leading the campaign delegation was the Barji Campaign Coordinator, Hon. Garba Muhammad Hadi, accompanied by members of the campaign structure, including the Khimpy Zonal Coordinator, Hon. Bala Saleh; member of the Research Team and Secretary of the APC Dengi Ward, Nasiru Zailani; Auwal A. Wana; AbdulAzeez Garba; and other members of the Kanam Advocate Youths for Barji and the wider campaign structure.
Speaking during the engagement, Hon. Garba Muhammad Hadi appreciated the Kanam Advocate Youths for Barji for organising the meeting and commended the women for their warm reception and active participation.
He encouraged the women to regard themselves as important stakeholders in political participation within their families and communities, urging them to continue engaging other women, listening to their concerns and communicating the objectives of the campaign with patience and respect.
As part of the grassroots mobilisation effort, the Kanam Advocate Youths for Barji distributed campaign materials to the women in attendance. The materials, according to the organisers, were intended to enhance awareness and visibility for the political aspiration of Chief Hon. David Bitrus Barji and strengthen the campaign’s presence at the grassroots.
The leadership of the Kanam Advocate Youths for Barji and the participating women expressed appreciation to the Campaign Coordinator and members of the Barji Campaign Council for honouring their invitation and maintaining engagement with grassroots groups across Kanam.
They also commended the Campaign Coordinator for his willingness to interact directly with supporters, listen to their perspectives and encourage community-based initiatives aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation.
The group reaffirmed its readiness to work with the campaign council to deepen mobilisation and contribute to the campaign activities of Chief Hon. David Bitrus Barji and other APC candidates.
