The APC Senatorial Candidate for Plateau Central Senatorial District in the 2027 general elections, Chief Hon. David Bitrus Barji, has congratulated the newly appointed Plateau State Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Comrade Prince Miaphen, describing his appointment as a welcome development for youth participation in governance.
Barji made the remarks when he joined other dignitaries at a reception held in honour of the new Commissioner at Eliel Centre, Jos, on Sunday.
The APC candidate commended the administration of Governor Caleb Mutfwang for creating opportunities for young people to actively participate in governance and contribute their talents, ideas and energy to the development of Plateau State.
He congratulated Comrade Miaphen on his appointment and assured him of his support as he assumes responsibility for the youth and sports sector of the state.
In his remarks, Commissioner Miaphen acknowledged the growing role of young people in the political and governance space, noting that Chief Hon. David Barji, as the youngest among the three senatorial candidates, represents a significant part of the youth demographic.
He expressed confidence that the youths would rally massive support for Barji’s aspiration, stressing the importance of youthful representation in the National Assembly.
The Commissioner wished Chief Hon. David Barji success in his political journey and expressed optimism that increased youth participation would contribute meaningfully to the development of Plateau State.
The reception brought together political leaders, government officials, youths, friends, associates and well-wishers to celebrate the new Commissioner and wish him success in his new assignment.
