The Trust Campaign Team mobilising support for the re-election of the Comrade Ayuku Pwaspo-led Executive Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Plateau State Council, has visited the Director of Press and Public Affairs to Governor Caleb Mutfwang, Mr. Gyang Bere, as part of its ongoing campaign engagements.
The team, led by its Chairperson, Lucy D. Chindapa, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Bere at Little Rayfield, Jos, on Thursday, ahead of the NUJ Plateau State Council Triennial Delegates Conference scheduled for September 8, 2026.
The visit provided an opportunity for the campaign team to engage the DOPA on the forthcoming election, present its vision and achievements, and seek his goodwill as journalists prepare to elect the next leadership of the Council.
The Trust Team is canvassing support for the continuation of the Ayuku Pwaspo-led administration, while also backing other members of the team contesting various positions in the election.
The September 8 Triennial Delegates Conference is expected to bring together accredited NUJ delegates from across Plateau State to determine the leadership of the Council for the next tenure.
The campaign team has continued its stakeholder engagements across the state as it seeks to consolidate support for its candidates ahead of the election.
