The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Pankshin (FUEP), Prof. Noel Wannang, has commended the University’s Chief Security Officer (CSO), Wing Commander Paul Maimako Yusuf (Rtd), and members of the security unit for their vigilance, bravery, and professionalism in preventing a theft on campus.
The commendation followed a report that a graduate of the institution, Vulji Francis Dos, a resident of Bwarak community and an indigene of Lankang, was apprehended while allegedly stealing electrical bulbs and other appliances from a classroom during the early morning rainfall on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
Speaking with the University’s correspondent, the CSO, Wing Commander Yusuf(Rtd), applauded the dedication of the security personnel, the hunters engaged for night patrols, and other stakeholders whose collaborative efforts have strengthened security across the campus.
He assured the security personnel of appropriate rewards for their commitment, loyalty, and outstanding service.
The CSO also urged students and members of the University community to remain law-abiding, refrain from all forms of criminal activity, and promptly report suspicious persons, unusual movements, or security threats to the University’s Security Department.
The University reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for teaching, learning, and research.
