The All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial candidate for Plateau Central in the 2027 general elections, Chief Hon. David Bitrus Barji, has called for unity among party leaders, stakeholders and support groups in Kanam Local Government Area ahead of the elections.
Barji made the call during an interactive session with the APC leadership in Kanam, held to appreciate the party, stakeholders and various support groups for their roles during the party’s intraparty elections and their contributions to preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The candidate, who was represented at the meeting by his Kanam LGA Campaign Coordinator, Hon. Muhammad Hadi Garba, urged party members and support groups to set aside their differences and work collectively with the party and its candidates.
According to him, unity and cooperation would be essential to achieving the APC’s electoral objectives across the Presidential, Governorship, Senatorial, House of Representatives and State Assembly elections in 2027.
The Kanam APC Chairman, Hon. Aliyu Shehu, popularly known as Makaman Dungur, acknowledged the receipt of ₦1 million in logistics support from Barji and appreciated the Senatorial candidate for what he described as a timely intervention aimed at strengthening the party and promoting unity among its members.
The party leadership also passed a vote of confidence in Barji and expressed support for his Senatorial bid, while pledging to work with other party stakeholders towards the success of the APC in the 2027 elections.
The meeting was attended by LGA and ward party executives, representatives of the KPPM and the Governor’s camp, as well as selected support groups from across Kanam LGA.
At the end of the engagement, participants pledged to put aside political differences and work together towards the success of the APC across the various elective positions in the 2027 general elections.
