The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Pankshin (FUEP), Professor Noel Wannang, has congratulated the Plateau State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Philemon A. Daffi, and his friend, Sunday Samuel Obende, on their investiture as Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN).
Professor Wannang, who conveyed the congratulations on behalf of the Pro-Chancellor, Management, staff and students of the University, described the elevation as a testament to hard work, integrity, professional excellence and an unwavering commitment to justice.
In his congratulatory message, the Vice-Chancellor noted that the conferment of the prestigious rank represents not only a significant professional achievement but also a call to greater responsibility in the administration of justice and the development of the legal profession in Nigeria.
He urged the new Senior Advocates to sustain the values of integrity, wisdom and excellence that earned them the honour, while making greater contributions to the legal profession and national development.
Congratulating his friend, Obende, personally, Professor Wannang expressed joy over the milestone, praying that the new chapter would bring him greater accomplishments and a lasting legacy.
“The gown may signify your rank, but it is your character that will define your legacy,” the Vice-Chancellor stated.
He reaffirmed the University’s pride in celebrating the distinguished legal practitioners on their elevation to one of the highest professional honours in the Nigerian legal profession.
The University wishes both Senior Advocates of Nigeria continued success as they take on the responsibilities associated with their new status.
