Plateau Central APC senatorial candidate, David Barji, joins party leaders to flag off grassroots mobilisation ahead of 2027 elections
Chief Hon. David Bitrus Barji Kasuwa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Plateau Central in the 2027 general elections, has joined the party’s national and state leaders at the official launch of the PBAT Door-to-Door Campaign in Jos, Plateau State.
The event brought together the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe; Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Esq.; and other party leaders and stakeholders to formally commence grassroots mobilisation for the 2027 electoral cycle.
The PBAT Door-to-Door Campaign, founded by Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, was represented at the launch by its National Coordinator, Hon. Adekanbi Sunday Asuku.
The initiative is focused on taking campaign activities to communities through direct engagement with residents, grassroots mobilisation and efforts to communicate the party’s political message ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The mobilisation drive is aimed at supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, while also promoting Governor Mutfwang and other APC candidates in Plateau State.
Barji’s participation in the launch placed him alongside key party figures at an event centred on building grassroots structures and coordinating campaign activities ahead of the polls. The door-to-door approach is designed to take political engagement beyond major rallies by encouraging direct contact with voters at the community level.
For the Plateau Central senatorial candidate, the event also provided an opportunity to participate in the party’s broader mobilisation efforts as preparations gradually take shape for the 2027 elections.
The campaign’s effectiveness will ultimately depend on sustained engagement with communities, the ability of its organisers to communicate their agenda and the extent to which campaign promises address the concerns and expectations of residents.
The launch marks another step in the APC’s preparations for the forthcoming elections, with party leaders and campaign coordinators expected to drive mobilisation efforts across the state.
