The Federal University of Education, Pankshin (FUEP), recently hosted a delegation from premium beverage brand Top Cafe as part of the company’s strategic market expansion drive aimed at understanding consumer preferences within the university community.
The visit featured an exclusive taste-testing and market-sampling exercise designed to gather direct feedback from staff and students while introducing the brand’s signature beverage to the institution.
Leading the delegation, Mr. Stanley Ohanele, Head of the Top Cafe Team, explained that the university community represents a key market segment for the company. According to him, the exercise was intended to obtain real-time insights into consumer tastes and preferences, enabling the company to refine its products and strengthen its presence in the region.
Mr. Ohanele noted that feedback from the FUEP community would play a significant role in shaping future product development and marketing strategies.
Supporting this position, the Assistant Head of the Team, Mr. Bright Rafael, outlined the logistics and broader objectives of the activation, emphasizing the company’s commitment to engaging consumers directly and building lasting relationships with institutions.
Speaking on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor of FUEP, Professor Noel Wannang, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Prof. Antonia Chukwu, commended Top Cafe for selecting the institution as a key location for its market research initiative.
She described the exercise as a valuable bridge between academia and industry, noting that it not only exposes members of the university community to quality products but also provides students with practical insights into market research and product promotion.
Prof. Chukwu expressed appreciation to the Top Cafe team for their professionalism, generosity, and entrepreneurial vision, assuring them of the university’s continued support and hospitality.
The highlight of the visit was the serving of freshly brewed cups of Top Cafe’s signature beverage to members of the university management and other participants, creating a warm and interactive atmosphere.
In his vote of thanks, the Registrar of the institution, Mr. Longtong Yadok, appreciated the delegation for the visit and reiterated that the university operates an open-door policy that welcomes meaningful partnerships capable of advancing institutional growth and development.
