PSN Chairman Lauds FUE Pankshin VC Wannang, Pledges Support for Transformational Leadership

The Chairman of the Plateau State chapter of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Pharm. Lohdi Damjul, has praised the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education (FUE), Pankshin, Professor Noel Wannang, for his outstanding leadership and growing impact on education in Nigeria.

Damjul gave the commendation during a courtesy visit by members of the Society to the Vice-Chancellor, describing the engagement as an opportunity to connect, interact, and strengthen professional ties.

According to him, Professor Wannang’s contributions to the education sector are both remarkable and far-reaching. He assured the Vice-Chancellor of the Society’s willingness to support the University, particularly in areas where pharmaceutical expertise can add value.

He also encouraged the University leadership to collaborate closely with professionals in the field to enhance institutional growth and innovation.

Adding his voice, Professor Ikon Ogaji of the University of Jos congratulated Professor Wannang on his appointment as the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the institution. He described him as a worthy ambassador of the pharmaceutical profession and urged him to build a legacy that would position the University among Nigeria’s leading institutions.

In a similar vein, the representative of the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN), Iji Mathias, said the visit was meant to celebrate and identify with the Vice-Chancellor, while offering prayers for wisdom and success in his leadership journey.

Also speaking, Consultant Pharmacist at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, Isaac Utenih, described Professor Wannang as a leader known for leaving lasting impacts wherever he serves. He expressed confidence in his ability to steer the University to greater heights.

Responding, Professor Wannang expressed heartfelt appreciation to the delegation, noting that their visit was both encouraging and inspiring.

He urged professionals in academia to go beyond routine teaching by mentoring and inspiring students, emphasizing the importance of building strong, meaningful relationships in the learning environment.

The visit concluded with goodwill messages, presentation of gifts, and a renewed commitment by the PSN delegation to support the Vice-Chancellor’s vision for the growth and development of the University.
