The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Education Pankshin (FUEP), Professor Noel Nen’man Ndalbeh Wannang, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to easing transportation challenges for staff and students through the introduction of electric tricycles on campus.

Professor Wannang gave the assurance during an inspection of the newly delivered electric tricycles currently being assembled at the university.

Expressing delight over the arrival of the vehicles, the Vice Chancellor said the initiative is aimed at providing efficient intra-campus transportation while also extending shuttle services beyond the campus to make movement easier for members of the university community.

He highlighted several benefits of the electric tricycles, including affordability, reduced noise pollution, environmental sustainability, and the creation of employment opportunities. According to him, the university has also made adequate arrangements for operator training, safety orientation, designated parking areas, charging facilities, and routine maintenance to ensure the success of the project.

Professor Wannang disclosed that the university will announce a suitable date for the official commissioning of the electric tricycles once the assembly process is completed.

He thanked God for the successful delivery of the project, appreciated the support of the university’s management team, and commended House of Destiny Global Services Limited for partnering with the institution through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The adoption of electric-powered transportation underscores FUEP’s commitment to clean energy, environmental sustainability, and innovation, positioning the university among Nigeria’s forward-looking higher institutions embracing the future of green mobility.
