Graduands of the Cardinal Onaiyekan Foundation for Peace Fellowship have been urged to become ambassadors of dialogue in divided communities and voices of reconciliation in conflict situations.
President of the Cardinal Onaiyekan Foundation for Peace and the Network of African Peacebuilders (CANEP), David Shaljaba, gave the charge during the graduation ceremony of the Cardinal Onaiyekan Foundation for Peace Fellowship Cohorts 2025/2026 held in Abuja.
Ambassador Shaljaba said although the journey towards peace may appear difficult, the growing network of Peace Ambassadors being raised by the foundation offers hope for a better society.
“We may not solve every challenge overnight, but through consistent dialogue, compassion, justice and collaboration, we can transform our communities one step at a time,” he stated.
He further stressed the need for collective efforts in building peaceful communities, states and nations.
The graduation ceremony featured the presentation of certificates to the fellows and their induction into the CANEP family.
