The APC Flag Bearer for Plateau Central Senatorial District in the 2027 elections, Chief Hon. David Barji, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the District Head of Kabwir, His Royal Highness Nde Dominic Gofwen, describing his death as a monumental loss to the Kabwir people, the Ngas Nation, and Plateau State at large.
In a condolence message issued on Wednesday, Barji said the late traditional ruler was a humble, compassionate, and exemplary monarch whose reign was marked by fairness, wisdom, peace, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people.
According to him, the late royal father devoted his life to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Ngas people, promoting unity, confronting societal challenges with courage, and fostering peaceful coexistence across Kabwir District.
“The passing of His Royal Highness is a profound and painful loss to me personally, the people of Kabwir District, and the entire Ngas Nation. His legacy of selfless leadership, peace, and service will continue to inspire generations,” Barji stated.
On behalf of his family, friends, political associates, and the Face of Hope for Plateau Central Campaign Team, the APC senatorial candidate extended heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the late monarch, the Kabwir Royal House, the Kabwir District Traditional Council, the people of Kabwir District, and the entire Ngas Nation.
He prayed that Almighty God would grant the departed royal father eternal rest and give his family, subjects, and loved ones the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Chief Hon. David Barji concluded by paying tribute to the late traditional ruler, saying his enduring legacy of service, unity, and peaceful leadership would forever remain in the hearts of the people.
