Watch out for scammers on PL CARES.

The Plateau State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) Management is being made aware of the actions of a few dishonest people who are disguising themselves as agents of the agency with the intent of robbing our rural communities of their hard-earned resources under the pretense that they are providing them with basic social amenities on behalf of the agency @PL CARES

A case in point is the one reported from Chokobo Community in Bassa Local Government Area of the State, where some people acting as agents of the Agency requested the community to deposit N3M as 10% in order to access N30M, which is 90% for the construction of a feeder road but is regrettably not on the current menu. This case was reported by some individuals acting as agents of the Agency.

It should be highlighted that the CSDA @csdp does not and has never hired an agent to operate on its behalf in order to persuade Communities to put 10% of their cash into a single account in order to attract 90%.
There are established protocols that MUST be followed, just to be clear. A community is required to submit an Expression of Interest (EoI) to CSDA, for example.
Chokobo Community is not in possession of such a letter, according to CSDA.

The CSDA sees these components’ actions as an insult to the reputation they have worked so hard to earn over the past 13 years.
The General further distanced the Agency from such dishonest and dishonest people in the statement.

And moving forward, it urged Communities to be watchful of such desperate people and urged them to contact Law Enforcement Agencies so that required action might be taken.
