An unconfirmed report has it that Nigerian troops have killed several bandits who blocked the Sheme road in Faskari Local Government Area, Katsina State.
According to a security expert cum Conflict and Crisis Journalist in the Northwest region, Bakatsine, the troops engaged the bandits in an intense gunfight leading to their neutralisation.
Bakatsine said the troops also arrested other bandits and recovered four motorcycles from the hoodlums.
He wrote, “GOOD NEWS: Moment ago, Nigerian troops engaged in an intense gunfight with bandits who had blocked the Sheme road in Faskari Local Government Area, Katsina State.
“The troops successfully killed several bandits, arrested others, and recovered four motorcycles from the bandits.”
The military has yet to issue official statements about this.
