Leading senatorial aspirant for Plateau Central Senatorial District, Chief Hon. David Barji, has commenced a wide-ranging consultation tour across the zone ahead of the forthcoming party primaries.
The consultation exercise began in Bokkos and Mangu Local Government Areas, where he met with party stakeholders and grassroots structures, including Local Government Executives, Ward Executives, representatives from each ward, and polling unit officials.
In Bokkos Local Government Area, the engagement brought together representatives from the 14 wards and 236 polling units, while in Mangu Local Government Area, participants were drawn from the 16 wards and 409 polling units.
Addressing party faithful during the meetings, Chief Barji commended members for their loyalty, resilience, and commitment to the growth of the party over the years. He stressed the need for unity, inclusiveness, and effective grassroots mobilisation as preparations intensify for the primaries and the 2027 general elections.
He stated that his aspiration is anchored on the desire to provide quality representation, attract meaningful development to Plateau Central, and ensure that the interests and voices of the people are adequately represented at the National Assembly.
Chief Barji also urged party members to remain peaceful, steadfast, and committed to the ideals of the party, noting that collective effort and internal cohesion remain critical to electoral success.

According to him, the consultation tour is designed to engage critical stakeholders across the senatorial district, listen to the concerns of party members and constituents, and strengthen consensus ahead of the primaries.
The meetings recorded a large turnout of party faithful, community leaders, youths, and women groups, many of whom expressed confidence in his leadership capacity and pledged support for his aspiration.
