The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction has increased its impetus and commitment to building an inclusive people centred social protection architecture towards addressing immediate and structural poverty.
This indication was highlighted as Plateau State flagged off sensitization and engagement with critical stakeholders on Renewed Hope Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme RH-GEEP 3.0, in Jos, the Plateau State Capital.
Unpacking the Programme, the Coordinator National Social Investment Programme, Plateau State Office, Mary Fom, noted that RE-GEEP 3.0 is a structured Social Investment Micro-Credit. Initiative under the National Development Plan – NDP 2026 – 20030.
According to her, it is designed to strengthen livelihoods, promote Enterprise growth and support poverty reduction.
The NSIP Plateau State Coordinator, disclosed the FARMER MONI under the Programme will support Dry and Wet season farmers with interest- free financial support, capacity building, insurance cover, and market access to small and medium scale farmers, particularly those in the rural communities.
High point of the event was the presentation of the GEEP Programme synopsis by Jackse Mangtat, followed by a dialogue session.
