The Ngas Ethnic Nationality of Plateau State, North-Central Nigeria is bracing up to stage one of the biggest cultural festival of Arts and Culture tagged “PUUSDUNG 2026.
PUUSDUNG Festival of Arts and Culture is a platform where the Ngas Nation displays its rich culture to the World, while at the same promoting the Tourism, Culture and Hospitality industry of Plateau State.
Already various strategies are being put in place by the Community’s umbrella Association, the Ngas Development Association NDA to actualize this laudable project.
Underscoring the significance of the upcoming Annual Festival of Arts and Culture,National President of the Association Prof. Katkukah Danjuma Gokum called on Ngas sons and daughters globally to hold unto the dreams and visions of their forefathers and continue to uphold the virtues that the Ngas are known for.
The NDA President stated this at the inauguration of the Central Planning Committee (CPC) and the subcommittees of the 2026 Ngas Puusdung and Festival of Arts and Culture.
Prof. Gokum emphasized the need for all Ngas sons and daughters to embrace unity, love and respect in order to promote the lovely image of the Ngas.
He encouraged the planning committee for the 2026 Puusdung to make sacrifices for Ngasland and host a cultural event that will showcase the beauty of Ngas culture, tradition, cousine, art and crafts.
Responding on behalf of the planning committee, the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Prof. Noel Wannang appreciated the NDA for finding them worthy to take on this onerous responsibility.
Prof. Wannang, who is the incoming pioneer Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Pankshin, noted that they will not take the responsibility lightly and promised to plan and execute a world-class event.
A statement released by the National Publicity Secretary of NDA, Andrew Gogwim, revealed that the 2026 Puusdung Festival of Arts and Culture is billed to hold from Sunday, 19th to Saturday, 25th April, 2026 in Pankshin LGC, which is the Headquarters of Ngasland.
