The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Education, Pankshin, Professor Noel Wannang, says the University will continue to promote transparency, accountability innovation and Research in the effective utilization of TETFund interventions to strengthen teaching and learning at the foundational levels of education.
Professor Wannang stated this while in audience with the TETFund Assessment on official visit to the TETFund Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning in Primary and Early Childhood Education, Federal University of Education, Pankshin.
The Vice-Chancellor, described their presence of the Assessment Team as a blessing and a clear demonstration of TETFund’s commitment to quality assurance and institutional growth.
He assured the delegation that all advice and recommendations arising from the current assessment would be implemented appropriately to enhance the performance of the Centre and sustain the University’s mandate in teacher education.
Chairman of the Assessment Team, Professor Anthony Okpe, said he was mandated by TETFund to carry out the exercise alongside his team member.
He congratulated the Vice-Chancellor on his appointment and commended the University for emerging as a Centre of Excellence among several competing institutions.
Director overseeing the TETFund Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning in Primary and Early Childhood Education, Professor Zipporah Duguryil, reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to transparency, collaboration and continuous learning in line with the objectives of TETFund.
TETFund Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning in Primary and Early Childhood Education is one of 12 TETFund Centres of Excellence established in November 2021 by TETFund Board of Trustees and approved by Mr. President.
The Team’s visit formed part of its routine supervision and assessment exercise aimed at evaluating the progress of projects and ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
A Press Release by Charles Homsuk, Deputy Director, Information and Public Relations, Federal University of Education, Pankshin, revealed that presentation of TETFund’s Advocacy and Publicity Intervention Compendium, were made to the Assessment Team by the Vice-Chancellor.
