It was an unforgettable moment as Media for Social Change and Development MSCD reflects on a rare opportunity provided by the Fundación para la Internacionalización de las Administraciones Públicas (FIAP) as we at a 2 Day Validation Workshop with selected key stakeholders.
FIAP is co-implementing Component 3 of the EU Support to ECOWAS in Peace, Security, and Governance (EPSG) Project in West Africa, in collaboration with GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit).
Component 3 focuses on reinforcing electoral processes across West Africa by: Preventing electoral violence, Countering misinformation, disinformation, and hate speech, and
Promoting peaceful, free, and fair elections.
The workshop was held in the Federal Capital Territory Nigeria on November 18 and 19, 2025, aimed at reviewing and validating the findings from the a conducted Mapping Exercise and Needs Assessment Report.
This session was part of ongoing efforts to ensure that the outcomes of the mapping and needs assessment are accurate, relevant, and aligned with the regional priorities and needs.
During the workshop, partners presented key findings from the mapping and needs assessment exercise.
Engage participants in discussion to validate findings and conclusions.
Collect stakeholder feedback to refine recommendations.
Ensure alignment with national and regional development priorities.
This unique opportunity provided Media for Social Change and Development MSCD to engaged, network and develop strategies that will assist in enhancing electoral processes.
