The Deputy High Commissioner, British High Commission, Ben Llewellyn-Jones and the Chairman, AA Holdings, co-founder and pioneer CEO of Platform Petroleum Limited and Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc, Austin Avuru, are among a galaxy of top business experts and key stakeholders drawn from all walks of life expected to speak at this year’s “Doing Business in Nigeria Conference”. Also, they are to provide insights into viable and workable solutions to the challenges facing businesses in Nigeria.
A statement released by the organisers, a copy of which was sighted by The PUNCH, indicated that the conference, themed, ‘Business unusual: Breaking barriers’, would be held at 10am at the Landmark Event Centre on Victoria Island, Lagos on Saturday, April 29, 2023.
The organisers said the conference would consist of two-panel sessions, three keynote presentations, and one business pitch that would earn the winner a grant.
Avuru, the statement further indicated, would speak on the topic, ‘Diversification of the Nigerian economy’ while Llewellyn-Jones would be among the speakers during the first-panel session with the topic, ‘Diversification of the Nigerian economy’.
The Convener, Linda Uneze, noted that the conference which is in its third edition became imperative in order to address several factors that posed threats to businesses, especially in Nigeria; and also equip business people with what they needed to do in order to attain set goals.
She said, “At the ‘Doing Business in Nigeria Conference’, we expose the minds of the attendees to explore their full potential, reach their business mark, and even beyond.”
“I do not believe in limitations and I am always confident that start-ups can blossom if they put in the right attitude and work. Also, established companies have more opportunities to scale through more heights. DBNC is in its third edition and we have achieved a lot of success in our previous editions. I am optimistic this year’s edition will be bigger and better.
