In Jos, Nigeria, JELNENG Nigeria Ltd., producers of the widely known JELNENG RICE, has reached a significant milestone by receiving the Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme (MANCAP) certification from the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON).
The certification, awarded at the SON office in Jos, Plateau State, affirms that the company’s locally processed rice meets the Nigerian Industrial Standards (NIS).The Plateau State Coordinator of SON, Engr. Joseph Shawo, presented the certificate on behalf of the Director General/CEO of SON during a brief ceremony attended by the Honourable Commissioner of Agriculture and other dignitaries.
Engr. Shawo commended JELNENG Nigeria Ltd. for their commitment to quality, noting that they are the first rice processing company in Jos to receive the MANCAP certification — a move that sets a new standard for local agricultural processing in the state.
With this achievement, JELNENG RICE is now authorized to proudly display the MANCAP logo on its packaging, reinforcing consumer trust and opening up new avenues for trade and export.
