Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) chief, Hossein Salami, issued a stern warning to Israel on Thursday, vowing that Iran would not allow Israel to control the fate of Muslims.
In a statement posted by Iran International English on Twitter, Salami said, “Our eyes are fixed upon you, and we will fight to the very end, refusing to let you dictate the fate of Muslims. Retribution will come; we will respond with painful blows-just wait and see.”
This warning comes amid escalating tensions and fiery rhetoric between Iran and Israel, underscoring their long-standing adversarial relationship. Salami’s remarks reaffirm the IRGC’s view of Israel as a central enemy and emphasize Iran’s willingness to retaliate militarily if it perceives Israeli actions as a direct threat.
Experts see Salami’s statement as both a defiant posture and an effort to project strength within the region. Iran often uses such rhetoric to position itself as a protector of Muslim interests in the Middle East. The IRGC, which holds significant influence in countries like Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq, frequently issues similar declarations to oppose Israeli policies and signal its support for groups that challenge Israeli influence.
