Super Eagles and Chippa United goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, has been linked with English Championship club Queens Park Rangers.
This is according to Italian journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Nwabali was one of the revelations at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
Despite making his competitive debut for the Eagles against Equatorial Guinea, Nwabali went on to keep four straight clean sheets.
Also, in the semi-final win against South Africa, he made two waves to help Jose Peseiro’s side reach the final, where they lost 2-1 to Côte d’Ivoire.
His impressive performance has drawn interests from clubs in and out of Africa.
Now Romano has disclosed that QPR and also Saudi Arabia side Al Ettifaq have enquired about the shot stopper.
“Nigeria GK Stanley Nwabali, on the list of different clubs as Al Ettifaq in Saudi and Queens Park Rangers in UK have enquired about him,” Romano said.
“His South African club Chippa United will consider his future move in the next months.”
In 2019, Nwabili joined Go Round FC where he started his career as a striker, before later securing a move to Enyimba in 2020.
He then joined Lobi Stars, Katsina United before moving to South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Chippa United in 2022.
Nwabili earned his first cap for the Nigerian national team in 2021, in an international friendly against Mexico in Los Angeles, United States.
In December 2023, he was called up for the AFCON 2023 and was named Man of the Match in the semi-final encounter against South Africa.
