Brighton star Moises Caciedo is intent on joining Chelsea this summer having informed Bayern Munich he is not interested in a move to Germany.
A host of Premier League sides are eager to sign the Ecuador international this summer with Brighton accepting his decision to move on.
Arsenal saw two bids rejected in the January transfer window with the Gunners ending their interest in the 21-year-old this week as they prioritise a move for West Ham skipper Declan Rice.
Manchester United are also closely monitoring the midfielder’s situation but according to Sky Germany, Caicedo has now decided on a move to Stamford Bridge.
Bayern were also keen to sign the Premier League star with discussions held with his management team over a move to the Allianz Arena.
But the German champions have accepted they have ‘no chance’ of luring him to the Bundesliga with Caicedo intent on remaining in the Premier League.
Brighton are thought to be asking for at least £100million for one of their prized assets, with ‘final negotiations’ underway, according to the report.
The Daily Telegraph meanwhile claim Chelsea could use Conor Gallagher as a makeweight in any deal for Caicedo with the Seagulls previously expressing interest in the England international.
Chelsea activated Enzo Fernandez’s release clause to sign the Argentine from Benfica in a £104m deal in January.
With both N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic expected to leave west London this summer, the club have been eager to bring in a long-term partner for Fernandez in the middle of the park.
Mauricio Pochettino is also keen for the club to enlist the services of a new no9 with Napoli star Victor Osimhen and Villarreal’s Nicolas Jackson among those linked.
The club are also in the market for a new goalkeeper with Andre Onana and Mike Maignan of Inter and AC Milan considered along with Brighton’s Robert Sanchez.
