The former governor of Rivers State and current FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has reportedly held a meeting with the suspended members of the Rivers State lawmakers in the UK, amid the suspension of the Assembly and growing calls for a state of emergency in the state.
This was revealed in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter).
According to reports from notable media platforms, the UK visit was led by the Speaker, Martins Amaewhule.
The Speaker’s special assistant also issued a statement confirming the meeting, adding that the purpose of the visit was to gain fresh insights beyond the noise in Nigeria, which would aid in improving legislative practices.
