June 12 Saga: Such A Story Should Not Deserve Our Response - Peter Obi Debunks Involvement

The linking of the annulled June 12 presidential elections to Peter Obi, the presidential aspirant of the Labour Party in the last general elections stirred mixed reactions from different quarters after the reports went viral across various social media platforms. According to reports, the former governor stood against the emergence of Moshood Abiola under the platform of Arthur Nzeribe’s Association for a Better Nigeria, ABN.

However, in a recent statement which was made available to the general public by news outlet today being Tuesday the 25th day of February 2025, the presidential aspirant debunked the reports, and made it known that they were an attempt to tarnish his image.

According to the former governor, the motives behind the story were no secret and does not deserve their response. However, he did pointed out that it was necessary to address the reports so that the public can be informed about the facts.

‘In his words’

“Such a brazen sunken story whose motive is well known ordinarily should not deserve our response, but for the credulous public that may not be privy to these facts.” He said.
