Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has admitted it was probably a mistake to ask Ben Chilwell to leave the Premier League club this summer.
Maresca banished Chilwell from first-team training as he tried to force him out.
However, the England defender ended up staying at Stamford Bridge and played in the second half of their Carabao Cup tie against Barrow on Wednesday.
Maresca was asked about the situation during his Friday’s press conference.
And he said: “We all make mistakes. Probably yes; probably no. I am here to take decisions.
“Sometimes they are good decisions and sometimes they are not good.
“The only thing I can say is that there is not any bad intention from me. It is just to see things and try to think about the best things for the club.”
