Manchester United’s hopes of luring ex-France international Adrien Rabiot to Old Trafford have received a massive boost over the international break
Manchester United’s hopes of luring Adrien Rabiot to Old Trafford on a free transfer have received a boost.
Rabiot, who almost joined United in 2022, is available as a free agent after leaving Juventus and is looking to find a new club. And he has rejected offers to join Galatasaray and the Saudi Pro League, improving United’s chances of landing the French international midfielder.
It’s understood United bosses will hold talks with Rabiot, 29, as Erik ten Hag looks to strengthen his midfield options ahead of what will prove to be a long and demanding season.
United, meanwhile, have taken another step towards building a new 100,000 stadium after entering into a strategic partnership to maximise the regeneration opportunities around Old Trafford.
The English giants have teamed up with Trafford Council and Greater Manchester Combined Authority to work out how a world class stadium could help create a residential, sports, leisure, business and entertainment campus around the Wharfeside area.
