Manchester United have become a dominant force in the current transfer window and could beat Arsenal to their Turkey target.
The Red Devils have already reached an agreement to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna and are also close to sealing a deal for Bayern Munich star Matthijs de Ligt.
Arcording to a report made by GOAL, Man Utd have reportedly set sights on Turkey & Fenerbahce star Ferdi Kadioglu.
The 24-year-old Fenerbahce player has been a target for Arsenal since last summer and was initially the first choice left-back target for the Gunners before the North London side decided to move for Calafiori.
Anyways, the deal for Calafiori seems to have stalled due to disagreements between the two parties concerning some additional clauses.
Despite being seriously linked with Calafiori, Arsenal is still open to sealing a deal for Kadioglu, whose versatility has impressed Mikel Arteta a lot.
Although Kadioglu is known as a left-back, the Turkey international can operate in various positions in midfield, right-wing, right-back, left-wing, and even as a central defensive midfielder. His incredible versatility is one of the major reasons he is wanted by both Arsenal and Man Utd.
Also, Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu has claimed that United have submitted their first bid of €25m for Kadioglu as they hope to beat Arsenal and others to the player’s signature.
However, Fenerbahce are holding out for a higher fee, reportedly in the region of €35m, as the defender performed very well at Euro 2024.
