Chelsea set to offer Cole Palmer massive pay rise
Chelsea are ready to offer Cole Palmer a massive pay rise – despite the star forward having six years left on his contract, according to Daily Mirror. Palmer has been a revelation since arriving from Manchester City last summer, with his four goals against Everton last Monday taking his tally for the season to 25. His exploits mean it would be a major surprise if he wasn’t named in Gareth Southgate’s squad for Euro 2024. The 21-year-old could even contend for a starting spot at the tournament. However, Palmer, who is believed to earn around £80,000 per week, is on significantly less than many of his fellow first- team regulars. Raheem Sterling, for instance, is thought to be on £325,000 per week.
Man United in race to sign Olmo
Manchester United are one of the clubs in the race to sign RB Leipzig attacker Dani Olmo, according to Mundo Deportivo. The Red Devils are likely to make multiple signings this summer and a versatile forward could be one of the top priorities for manager Erik ten Hag. Olmo has been linked with United for the past few years and Mundo Deportivo report that they could enter a bidding battle for his services. Barcelona and Bayern Munich are currently keeping tabs on the 25-year-old, but it is reported that United have also shown ‘serious interest’ in him.
Former Wolves boss linked with a move to Milan
Former Wolves and Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui is pushing for a move to AC Milan as the Serie A giants look to replace Stefano Pioli, according to Rudy Galetti. Lopetegui had rejected an offer from Saudi Pro League giants Al-Ittihad earlier this season. He has been linked with a move back to the Premier League, however, the Spaniard wants to head to Italy in the summer.
