Over the years Nigeria haven’t had players or other personality that made the nation proud at the Ballon d’Or award ceremony. However, here are the two persons who made the black nation proud tonight:

1. Victor Osimhen (Football Player)

The striker made his nation proud as he became the first Nigerian to finish in the top ten Ballon d’Or. He finished as the 8th best player in the world following his remarkable performance with Napoli last season as won the league title and the Golden Boot.

His achievement tonight will remain a source of inspiration to many aspiring African players.

2. Rema (Afro-Beat Singer)

Two Persons That Made Nigeria Proud at the 2023 Ballon dOr award ceremony.

The singer became the first Nigerian to perform at the Ballon d’Or award ceremony. He sang his famous track “Calm Down” and the atmosphere was amazing as many people vibed to the song. This shows that Nigeria was well-represented at the event.
