“We are still struggling with some injuries to recover our players 100% but we are in a very positive way,” Mauricio Pochettino said ahead of the Arsenal game.
“We need to assess now because we finished training a little late. We need to assess Nico Jackson, Reece [James] and Broja is out because he is irritated in his knee, the other knee than it was in the past. We need to see with others if they can play, be on the bench and be on the list.
“Benoit [Badiashile] can maybe be available to be on the bench.
“[Reece James] was training good last few days. Now we need to talk with the medical staff to see if he can be available for tomorrow.”
Pochettino has also added that Axel Disasi needs to be assessed.
The Blues’ South American contingent reported back to training after a long-haul flight back to the UK.
“Enzo trained yesterday. Caicedo arrived in the afternoon. He was in a very good state. They are ready,” Poch said.
Chalobah, Chukwuemeka, Chilwell, Fofana, Lavia and Nkunku are the other players who are listed as injured on Chelsea’s official website. They are unavailable for the Arsenal game.
