Messi, whose post-World Cup photo became the most-liked in the history of Instagram, garnering over 74 million likes, has had a whole lot of paid content on his Instagram page since the conclusion of the tournament.
Some of his recent posts on the social media platform where he has 414 million followers include ads from Call of Duty and Konami eFootball video games, Gatorade, Budweiser as well as crypto exchange Bitget and artificial vision brand Orcam.
Though Messi has made eye-watering money from endorsement deals, with $30 million coming in from Adidas, Gatorade, and Pepsi, Daily Mail reported that the footballer has been raking in around £1.5 million per branded Instagram post of late, totaling over £9 million.
Cristiano Ronaldo who made headlines for signing an insane £173 million per year deal with Saudi Arabia side Al Nassr, hasn’t posted a paid partnership since he played his final World Cup game even though he has more followers than Messi.
Asides from making money from promotions, Messi earns €35 million per year in wages from club Paris Saint-Germain.
