No fewer than 1,000 residents of Ogun State have benefited from the free eye treatment and surgery held by the Riders and Owners of Motorcycle Organisation in collaboration with Lions Club in the state.

Speaking at the programme in Abeokuta recently, the Chairman of ROMO, Alhaji Abdulfatai Sotayo, said the need to complement the health programmes of Governor Dapo Abiodun underscored the partnership with the club.

Sotayo said, “We all know that health is wealth and we equally know how vital a good eye sight is to our daily living.

“It is against this background that our organisation decided to form an alliance with the Lions Club to make some difference in the life of our people, which is also a good way to complement the good work of the governor in healthcare delivery.”

The Chairman of the club’s committee on eye awareness for 2023, Akintande Abiodun, supported by Taiwo Fatokun, the first Vice District Governor of the club, disclosed that the project, named ‘Vision in Lions Club’, was a testament to the club’s dedication to sight preservation this month.
